Is IMEDEEN a self-tanning product? |

No. IMEDEEN Tan Optimizer capsules work by stimulating the skin’s natural protective and tanning mechanism which is activated by sunlight. They do not stain or dye the skin. |

Can IMEDEEN Tan Optimizer be taken over a longer period of time? |

Yes. It’s a food supplement with all natural ingredients. There is no reason why it should not be taken indefinitely or for as long as desired. |

The women in the clinical study were between 18-50 years of age, but in principle it’s a product for everyone who enjoys spending time in the sun – including men. We do not, however, recommend Tan Optimizer for children. |

How long will my tan last? |

It depends on the individual. Generally, if you’re fair-skinned, it takes 2-3 months after sun exposure for the tan to completely disappear. People with darker skin keep the acquired tan for longer. |

Does IMEDEEN Tan Optimizer have an SPF rating? |

A recent independent study carried out in Chile shows daily use of IMEDEEN Tan Optimizer over a period of 4 months gives an internal SPF of 1.5 which equates to 40% protection. However, it is still necessary to protect your skin with a topical sunscreen suitable for your skin type and location. |

If I take two or more capsules a day, will I tan faster and go darker? |

We do not have any documentation on two or more capsules a day. One capsule per day is recommended in order to stay within the recommended daily allowance (RDA) for the ingredients. |
